Michael is a player of very contrasting styles. When batting he is a hard hitting batsman with a direct and combative style, some might say a poor man’s Greg Brooker. His bowling is altogether a more delicate and thoughtful process. Predominantly a leg spinner, he has the ability to turn the ball either way, and has a detailed and closely guarded repertoire of tic tac signals to the wicketkeeper indicate the intended spin and speed of the next delivery. Michael also excels at stunning catches, most notably a spectacular diving outfield catch at Ormskirk away in 2012.
